Code of Conduct

In an effort to be transparent amongst the membership, to further establish the brand, and to protect fellow members and Plateau Club employees, your Plateau Club Men’s Golf Association has developed a Code of Conduct that all members (automatically) agree to, upon becoming a member of the PMGA.

These are the principles we agree to adhere:

  • Be Honest

  • Be Respectful

  • Be Considerate

  • Be Inclusive

  • Be Professional

Upon joining the PMGA, each member voluntarily submits to acceptable standards of behavior and ethical conduct.  Members are under an obligation to avoid acts that are unsporting or discredit the game or the Club.

PMGA Code of Conduct

The intention of this policy is to establish clear and acceptable behavior for members of the Plateau Men’s Golf Association.  It is not intended to restrict the rights of anyone but is meant to ensure that all members, guests, volunteers and employees of The Plateau club are treated with respect when involved in any activities of The Club.

Above principles apply to the following statements you are agreeing to as a member of the PMGA:

  • Follow all rules and policies established by The Plateau Club

  • Any form of discrimination, harassment, or intimidation is regarded as unacceptable behavior and will NOT be tolerated

  • No sexual, racial or any other form of personal harassment of any fellow member, member of staff or other employee of the club

  • Respect the course: Filling or replacing divots, fixing pitch marks, keeping carts away from greens, etc...

  • Respect the facilities and equipment, and respectfully engage with staff members

  • Maintain the integrity of the game by following the rules of golf to the best of your knowledge and posting your scores promptly and properly

  • Exhibit good sportsmanship before, during, and after competitive rounds

  • Resolve differences with other golfers amicably or escalate to The Plateau Club management to assist

  • Not engage in, promote, or condone any form of discrimination or harassment

  • Report any concerning or inappropriate behavior to The Plateau Club Management Staff

  • Follow common golf etiquette when on the course:

    • Keep up with the group in front of you

    • Be ready to hit when it's your turn

    • Always repair divots and any plug marks you see on the green, whether left by you or others. Bunkers must always be carefully raked after your stroke.

    • Let faster groups play through if you're holding them up

The PMGA Board of Directors has the power to take any disciplinary action those members who violate any of these guidelines established by the PMGA Board of Directors.

The Board of Directors or those appointed by the board will deal with any matters pertaining to the conduct of members. Any members whose conduct is improper, offensive or endangers others, property of the course, or the good reputation of the PMGA may be subject to warnings, suspension, or expulsion as determined by the Board of Directors.
