Details: Try to get to the course by 3:30pm. At that time, I will throw a tee, to pick foursomes. First tee time is usually at 3:40pm. Once everyone is done playing, we will as a group do the luck portion of the game, and then that night I will pay out winnings. This is another reason for exact change, much easier to equally divide and pay out $5 and $10 then $20.
Of course if you can't make it at 3:30pm you are still welcome to play you will just be in a later foursome, and if can't stick around for the luck portion, I will give you any winnings the next week. But remember the main point of CofJ is to have fun with your fellow members and meet/hang out with new/different guys.
As mentioned above, we have weekly payouts, but we also have a season long point contest. You get 3 points for showing up, and then everyone who cashes each week gets extra points based on the number of players that evening. Then at the last event of the season, we have pizza, bocce ball, and drinks at Smerk's house and hand out the coveted trophies for the season long top 3 players, which last year were, Gary "The Guru" Grembowski, Ceri Eames, and Norm Escover.
