Two-Man Scramble

The 2022 Plateau Men’s Golf Association season is officially underway with the initial Member-Member 2 Man Scramble Tournament.  Even though the start time was pushed back to 11:00am the group was greeted with cold and windy conditions.  After adding another layer of clothing, the field of 36 golfers headed out to the initial tees.

This was a new format for the PMGA – a two-man scramble.  The blue tees were used and there was no drive requirement.  The course was mainly dry and the occasional roll was witnessed.  The greens were in superb condition for late February.  This combination produced some excellent scores for the first event.

A total purse of $500.00 was on offer along with a kick-off keg which was quickly drained.

Your Gross Division Champions – Rick Gallagher and Joe Lipinsky coming in with a 67.

Jason Richey and Bob Thomas took the Net Division with a score of 63.  It was a very competitive field with a net 66 needed to cash.

The initial Plateau Cup standings are posted.  With their victories, Rick Gallagher, Joe Lipinsky, Jason Richey and Bob Thomas jump out to the early lead. The next event in the Race For The Plateau Cup is Saturday, March 5th with the 2-Man Wet Weather Classic.
